With the Lucas Oil Off-Road Regional Series (LORRS) holding both Rounds 2 and 3 on the same weekend, Cody Rahders took the opportunity to rebound from a DNF while leading at Round 1 to win both Round 2 and 3 of the Production 1000 class, in his 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS. After spending Friday with Justin Lambert of Cognito Motorsports taking lap times and Brandon Hong from Sparks Racing dialing in his clutch, Rahders went on to place second in Saturday’s qualifier for Round 2 of the series. In the main event, he started in fourth position and by the exit of turn one, he was leading and never looked back for his first win of the 2015 season.

On Sunday for Round 3, Rahders set the fastest lap in qualifying giving him the outside starting position in the third row. At the start, he moved from sixth to fourth by the exit of turn one and would be leading the field by lap 5. From there, Rahders would lay down laps until he had more than a 10-car lead at the finish for his second win of the weekend.

"My new RZR is so good, it does exactly what I want it to do when I want it to do it, it’s hooked up and fast,” said Rahders. “Every part we are using works perfect. It needs nothing, the car works so good."

Cody Rahders is sponsored by Polaris, Cognito Motorsports, Sparks Racing, Fox Shox, GMZ Tires, Method Race Wheels, Black Rhino, KN Filters, Superchips, PAC Racing Springs, Twisted Stitch Seats, and the UTVunderground.

Team Kawasaki IMG Motorsports announced today that they will support the first ever ‘American Side X Side Team’ to race in the 2015, 25th Anniversary, Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles.  Sara Price and Erica Sacks will be tackling one of the toughest All-Female Sporting events on the planet in a factory supported Kawasaki Teryx® Side X Side built by IMG Motorsports.
Kawasaki UTV Racing Girls
The Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles is a 9-day race located in Morocco, Africa where approximately 160 teams and 300 competitors come together to tackle the terrain without the help of GPS. Using nothing but outdated maps, teams are forced to navigate through the incredibly tough terrain with nothing but a compass and their will to succeed. This navigational challenge will be a true test for the Kawasaki IMG Motorsports team. They will navigate with the goal of traveling the shortest distance from Point A to Point B, ranging anywhere from 700 miles to 3,000 miles.
UTV Race Girls
Emily Miller, former pro racer and one of the first Americans to participate in this race, is mentoring Sara and Erica along with Kirsten Kuhn, who is the US Team/Media Liaison for the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles. Sara and Erica will have to overcome the challenges of a language barrier, an unvisited country, and unfamiliar desert.
Sara Price previously raced for Kawasaki as a professional women's motocross racer making history in 2010 as the first ever female factory supported racer in motocross.  Sara also achieved over 16 Amateur Championships on a Kawasaki during her amateur racing career as well as medaling in X-Games. Sara crossed over into the Side X Side racing in 2012, racing many different disciplines in a UTV and fast became a force to reckon with. She is also going to be the youngest American to race in the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles’ 25-year history.
Erica Sacks has over 15 years of off-road racing experience. She has been all over Baja and has raced the longest race in the US, giving her the knowledge necessary to compete in this long race. She has raced in a variety of off-road cars from Trophy Karts to Class 1 cars, and has the experience and navigational skills required when racing in the most prestige races held in Baja. She recently finished second place in a UTV at the 2014 Lake Elsinore Grand Prix.
"Racing in the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles has been a dream of mine to test my skill and also have this experience of a lifetime. Having a long history working with Erica from on-the-track to in the garage, I feel we couldn't be a better team to do this. I'm very excited to be back with Kawasaki and have their support and can't wait to make America proud" commented Sara Price. Erica’s excited about this new partnership as well and commented, "When Sara came to me about being her teammate for the rally, I thought this is crazy, but what a fun experience! Sara and I have been friends for many years.  This last year I have been involved as her spotter in her UTV racing and working together with her on her UTV. I'm looking forward to taking our racing friendship to Morocco as team USA, Kawasaki, IMG Motorsports."
Team USA, Kawasaki, IMG Motorsports are asking for their fans be a part of this amazing, first-ever American race team at the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles! A Crowd Funding Campaign has been started to help support this team at www.darkhorsepros.com/campaigns/88, where fans and supporters have the chance to come on board to join and support them in this amazing journey.
The team can also be followed on their journey, from training for the rally to daily updates in Morocco at www.facebook.com/TeryxGirls or use Official Hashtag #TeryxGirls on social media sites.

As it has for nearly 40 years as the preeminent desert racing
organization in  the world, SCORE International is adding to its legacy of
innovation and  pioneering technology development with the announcement this
week by SCORE  CEO/President Sal Fish of two new pro four-wheel vehicle
classes.
The  new classes, SCORE SV6 and Pro Stock UTV, will make their
debut at the 28th  annual MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, March 8-10, the season  opener of the three-race 2013 SCORE Desert Series.
“SCORE has always  listened to the racers and when we are in agreement with the need and our  ability to effectively develop and oversee the rules and regulations, we are  very open to introducing new classes into SCORE desert racing,” said Fish,  CEO/President of Los Angeles-based SCORE International since soon after it was  founded in 1973. “Following on-going discussions with numerous racers and  diligent research and preparation of class regulations by Bill Savage and SCORE  Tech, we are very enthusiastically announcing the debut of these special Pro  open-wheel buggy and Pro UTV classes.”
The SCORE SV6 class will be an unlimited 4-wheel, single or two-seat open-wheel vehicle class with sealed stock  V-6 engines with a maximimum stock displacement of 225.78 cubic inches.
After several years of running a Sportsman UTV class, SCORE
will add the Pro  Stock UTV for 4-wheel, two-seat and four-seat (maximum two
occupants) Original  Equipment Manufacturer UTV vehicles. The vehicles must use stock production UTV  motors with a minimum production of 500 units.
“Our goal was to respond  to the racer’s requests for these classes that will give a fairly level playing  field for what will be exciting classes to watch and to
race in,” commented Bill  Savage, SCORE’s long-time Tech Director. “We want to continue providing the best  platform for desert racers to enjoy the best desert
racing there is with the  SCORE Desert Series. The detailed class
descriptions as well as rules  and regulations for the new SCORE SV6 class and
Pro Stock UTV class are  available on the SCORE website at http://www.score-international.com/technotes.aspx. For further information regarding
the  class, contact the SCORE Tech office in Vista, Calif. at 760.599.1013.

In  addition to season class point championships, the racers also compete for
part  of the over $400,000 in cash purse and contingency postings each race.
Drivers  in the Pro car and truck classes in 2012 also attempted to earn
prestigious  SCORE Toyota Milestone Awards presented to all car and truck Pro
class drivers  who completed the 1,920.19 required miles of the five-race
season.  Being  presented by Toyota Motorsports for the 27th consecutive year, a total of 16  drivers earned the award for the five-race 2012 SCORE Desert
Series.
Racers also compete for the annual SCORE Off-Roadsman of the
Year awards,  including the MasterCraft Safety SCORE Rookie of the Year award. All categories,  except Engine Builder and Original Buggy Chassis Manufacturer, are determined by  public on-line voting while Engine and Buggy awards are determined by season  points.

The last  UTV race of the season, The Amsoil Ironman, saw three RZRs on the podium  for the “Open Modified” class with
